In the first exercise, which took place on January 8, the times of the processes were measured, and this Sunday the procedures for voting were tested, including those in prison still without a sentence and people with disabilities who vote at home.
CNE President Diana Atamaint reported that more than 10,500 electoral officials, 4,728 military personnel and 4,870 members of the National Police participated throughout the country in the rehearsal of the elections scheduled to take place in 14 days.
She referred to the progress in the distribution of the packages with electoral material to the provinces, as well as the printing of the ballots, which is progressing at more than 99 percent.
Atamaint assured that the distribution of the necessary documentation for the vote will be completed on February 4.
The CNE chief condemned acts of violence that seek to undermine state institutions and democracy, referring to the murder on Saturday of the candidate for Salinas mayor in Santa Elena province, who was shot several times during a campaign tour.
