Cuba reports seven new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Jan 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported seven new cases of Covid-19 after taking 382 samples for surveillance on Monday, confirming control over the disease, health authorities reported on Tuesday.

According to the latest report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), 83 patients were admitted on January 23, including 29 were suspected cases and 54 were confirmed active patients.

To date, Cuba has made 14,293,594 tests to determine the presence of Covid-19, 1,112,369 of which were positive cases.

According to the latest statistics by MINSAP, there are no deaths, eight patients were discharged and one patient is in serious condition in an intensive care unit.

At end of January 22, 43,135,236 doses of Cuba’s homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines had been administered nationwide.
