Maybe someday, this is my idea, I can offer it to my colleagues, I don’t know how they will respond about the creation of international space constellations with friendly countries,’ Borisov stressed at a plenary meeting of the Royal Lectures in the Russian capital.
According to the Roscosmos top representative, such collaborations would help save money and work in the interests of participating states.
Borisov added that he plans a trip to China in the second half of February to exchange with the leaders of China’s National Space Administration.
‘I hope that after my trip we will reach a new level of cooperation in the creation of multi-satellite systems,’ he assured.
Borisov also referred to intentions to increase Russia’s orbital constellation from 200 to 1,000 satellites by 2030, including devices for various purposes such as communications, Earth remote sensing, meteorology, and navigation, among others.
