The military spokesman added at his usual press conference on Wednesday that during the fighting Ukraine lost more than 60 soldiers, while three tanks, two armored combat vehicles, one vehicle and one D-20 howitzer were destroyed.

Russian aviation and artillery attacked units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Krasny Liman area and eliminated more than 20 military personnel, two armored vehicles and four German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers, Konashenkov said.

Meanwhile, missile troops and artillery eliminated 79 Ukrainian artillery units in firing position, personnel and military equipment in 124 districts over the past 24 hours, this spokesman detailed.

Konashenkov said that Russian troops prevented sabotage and reconnaissance groups from landing on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson area, adding that near Nikolayevka, aviation eliminated a company tactical group of the Ukrainian reserves.

Near the town of Slaviansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft, the lieutenant general reported.

Meanwhile the anti-aircraft defense shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Mi-8 helicopter near the locality of Novodarovka, Zaporozhie region, this senior official reported.

Four Ukrainian drones were also destroyed in the localities of Spornoye, Berestorovoye, Blagoveschenka and Kirilovka in Donetsk, and four Himars multiple missile launcher shells were intercepted in the Zaporozhie region, Konashenkov said.
