The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs explained on Twitter that 25% of Palestinians living in the West Bank requires humanitarian assistance as well as 58% in the Gaza Strip.

The UN agency noted that to cover basic needs for these people in 2023, $502 million is required.

Such an amount will help to mitigate food, housing, water, sanitation and education issues, according to Lynn Hastings, the UN humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian territories.
