During his stays in these Latin American countries, Torres expects to visit the respective colonies of Canary Islanders, as well as to hold several meetings in the political, economic and institutional fields.
Torres, who is also the secretary general of the Unified Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) of the Canary Islands, hopes to consolidate the historic ties of the Spanish islands with Latin America, according to Government Spokesman Julio Perez.
The source also pointed out that there are still no dates for a future trip by Torres to Morocco, pending the results of the bilateral summit the Spanish Government will hold with its peers in Rabat.
