While representatives of 120 groups take the streets to demonstrate against the company owned by the British businessman Joe Lewis, another group coordinates a demonstration that will take place on coming Wednesday close to the same place.
Participants condmen the occupation of an Argentine territory, no access to natural spaces in this country as well as the operation of “a rip off mafia power that seeks to condition democracy.”
Among organizations involved in the protest are the Interactive Foundation to Promote the Culture of Water (FIPCA), the Argentinian Workers Union (CTA) and the Octubres Movement, Autonomous CTA, the Buenos Aires Graphic Federation, the Coordinating Table for the Defense of National Sovereignty of the Paraná River and the Magdalena Canal, La Cámpora and the Group of Priests Option for the Poor, among others.
In statements to the Télam news agency,Julio Urien, FIPCA President, assured this is “a fight for public roads to be made available for all and also to condemn there is a British enclave there.”
