Cavusoglu pointed out, during a press conference in this capital, that Türkiye is not against the expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), nor does it have problems with Sweden and Finland, but the Nordic countries must abide by the Turkish conditions.
In this sense, he clarified that a series of concerns have been put on the table that must be taken into account and confirmed that the Turkish authorities are studying the possibility of addressing the two countries’ requests independently.
I think it would be fair to divide these countries into the most and least problematic, since our position is based on an objective analysis of how these requirements are met, said Cavusoglu, quoted by Haberturk television.
Yesterday, the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, admitted that there could be a different response to the presentation of requests by these two countries and indicated that, if necessary, Türkiye could send a different message to Finland.
The recent tension between the countries aspiring to join the military bloc and Türkiye increased last week, after demonstrations and the burning of the Koran took place in Sweden, which Ankara strongly condemned, describing the action as racist and modern barbarism.
The Turkish president expressed in this regard that the Swedish side, after the scandalous and anti-Turkish actions in Stockholm, should not wait any longer for Türkiye to support its request to join the Atlantic alliance.

Insiste Türkiye en cumplimiento de demandas para ingresar a la OTAN
Ankara, 30 ene (Prensa Latina) El ministro turco de Relaciones Exteriores, Mevlut Cavusoglu, expresó hoy que su Gobierno insistira en el cumplimiento de las demandas para proceder al ingreso de países como Suecia y Finlandia a la OTAN.
Cavusoglu señaló, durante una rueda de prensa en esta capital, que Türkiye no está en contra de la ampliación Organización del Tratado Atlántico Norte (OTAN), ni tiene problemas con Suecia y Finlandia, pero los países nórdicos deberán acatar las condiciones turcas.
En este sentido, aclaró que se han puesto sobre la mesa una serie de preocupaciones que deben ser tenidas en cuenta y confirmó que las autoridades turcas estudian la posibilidad de abordar las solicitudes de los dos países de forma independiente.
Creo que sería justo dividir estos países entre los más y menos problemáticos, pues nuestra posición se basa en el análisis objetivo de cómo se cumplen estos requisitos, afirmó Cavusoglu, citado por la cadena de televisión Haberturk.
Durante la jornada de ayer, el presidente turco, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, admitió que podía existir una respuesta diferente a la presentación de solicitudes por parte de estos dos países e indicó que, en caso necesario, Türkiye podría enviar un mensaje distinto a Finlandia.
La reciente tensión entre los países aspirantes al ingreso al bloque militar y Türkiye aumentó la semana pasada, después que en Suecia se produjeron manifestaciones y la quema del Corán, lo cual fue enérgicamente condenado por Ankara, al calificar la acción de racista y barbarie moderna.
El mandatario turco expresó al respecto que la parte sueca, después de las escandalosas y antiturcas acciones en Estocolmo, no debería esperar más a que Türkiye apoye su solicitud de ingreso en la alianza atlántica.
