Russia’s pipeline resumes pumping operations after attack

Moscow, Feb 1 (Prensa Latina) The Druzhba oil pipeline resumed operations after a failed attempt at bombing the Novozybkovo oil pumping station in the Bryansk region, the TASS news agency reported on Wednesday.

‘Last night, an attempt was made to shell the Novozybkovo oil pumping station. The damage is being repaired by our team,’ Transneft Spokesman Igor Demin commented.

He explained that the impact of the projectile on the area of the station left no casualties. According to the Mash Telegram channel, the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire at the Novozybkovo oil pumping station of the Druzhba pipeline, which also supplies oil to Belarusian refineries in its transit to Europe.

The pipeline starts in the Samara region, passes through Bryansk and then branches into two sections: north and south, passing through Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Hungary.
