Sahrawi Government denounces Morocco’s conspiracy

Sahrawi Government denounces Morocco’s conspiracy

Algiers, Feb 1 (Prensa Latina) The Government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) denounced the conspiracy of Morocco and a group of former high-level African officials to try to expel it from the African Union (AU).

A communiqué published by the Ministry of Information points out that Rabat’s statements, full of manipulation and lies, only demonstrate its failure to sully the reputation of the Sahrawi Government, which has been sitting alongside it for more than three decades at international forums as a member of the AU.

As usual, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs once again orchestrated a theater starring a group of so-called African former diplomats who were invited in ‘Moroccan style’ to convince them with classic colonialist terms, taken from its expansionist dictionary, about the legitimacy of the illegal occupation,’ the text pointed out.

The Kingdom of Morocco, the document emphasizes, clearly violates the provisions in Articles 3 and 4 of the Constitutive Act of the regional entity on the respect of the borders existing at the time of independence, the prevention of the acquisition of territory by force and the settlement of disputes by peaceful means.

It further underlines that the Maghreb kingdom, aware that its expansion project has no future in Africa and that the international community will not recognize its alleged sovereignty over Western Sahara, resorts to bribery, the purchase of wills and the dissemination of lies or manipulations far from the truth, in order to fail to meet its signed commitments.
