The politico-military situation on the Korean peninsula and around it, has reached an extreme because of the reckless military confrontation and hostile act of Washington and its followers.

The U.S. is once again spreading all kinds of rumors to demonize the DPRK, an official statement said.

The ministry also said that the U.S. is stepping up its offensive to put pressure on the DPRK in all spheres, mainly in the fields of human rights, economic sanctions and military provocation.

In particular, Washington is trying to light the fuse of total confrontation with our country by carrying out joint military exercises with south Korea since February, the size and scope of which are considerably expanded, the text warned.

The foreign ministry assured that the DPRK will meet any military interference with equal force according to the brutal hostile policy of the U.S.

The DPRK already has a clear strategy to oppose the scripts planned by Washington and its satellites, and will control the potential challenges of the present and future with the most preponderant nuclear forces, the statement added.

Our country will responsibly defend peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and its contour, until the hostile policy and military threat of the U.S. and its allies are completely eliminated, the statement concluded.
