The initial meeting of the G20 Working Group on Sustainable Finance will be held this Thursday in the city of Guwahati, in the northeastern state of Assam.
The Minister of Ports, Maritime Transport, Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal, will open the meeting.
The three main points of the meeting are mobilizing timely and adequate resources for climate action, facilitating financing for sustainable development and building capacities for the entire sustainable development ecosystem.
A group meeting on Energy Transition will be held in Bengaluru, between February 5th and 7th, with representatives of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Program, International Energy Agency, Ministry of Clean Energy and International Solar Alliance, among others.
Attendees will visit the Bengaluru Green Building Camp and the Pavagada Mega Solar Park, a testimony of India’s push into the renewable energy sector and its efforts to mitigate climate change.
