The aircraft launched at least three missiles at a site located in the center of the enclave, and another two at an area west of Gaza City, the WAFA news agency reported. A site north of the city of Beit Lahia and an agricultural area were also bombed.
The Tel Aviv army stated having attacked alleged targets of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), who has ruled the strip since 2007, in response to missiles launched last night from the said area against Israel.
Earlier this year, the Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights denounced that more than 2,140 Palestinians died as a result of Israeli air strikes against the Gaza Strip between 2000 and 2022.
The NGO specified in a statement that the Israeli missiles and bombs killed 378 minors and 86 women in the coastal region during that period.
