The minister stated that we consider building a pipeline to transport the so-called blue fuel from the Russian cities of Omsk or Barnaul to the Kazakh town of Alashankou.

At the same time, Astana authorities confirmed the negotiations by Russian company Gazprom to gasify northern and eastern Kazakh regions.

Akchulakov stated that the construction of the gas pipeline from Barnaul to Alashankou is to supply gas to China with a separate thread to the Kazakh city of Pavlodar.
