They intended to undermine our firm positions in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle, the head of the legislature said during his reception of the deputy general secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mezher.

He reiterated Damascus’ historic and unwavering stance in favor of the right of the Palestinians to regain their occupied territory and live in an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

According to him, the unipolar world ended on the Syrian soil and thanks to the resistance of its people and army.

Our struggle will continue until we achieve the final victory over terrorism and the liberation of the entire Syrian soil, the parliament speaker assured.

In turn, the Palestinian leader considered that Syria was and remains the beating heart of Arabism and the first supporter of the Palestinian cause.

The legendary resistance of the Syrian people contributed greatly in strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, facing the Israeli occupier, he noted.
