According to Klymenko, the creation of the said units, which he called ‘Offensive Guard’, will be done at the expense of volunteers, and their training will be their participation in the front lines of combat, the Segodnya newspaper reported on Friday.
The Minister of the Interior added that the six existing units: Hurricane, Red Kalina, Kara-Dag, Boundary, Spartan and Azov (the latter is considered a terrorist organization by Russia) will be integrated into the structure.
In addition, the newly formed brigade of Ukraine’s ‘Steel Border’ State Border Service and the ‘Fury’ National Police assault brigade will be included.
It was reported earlier that the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed units near Kherson, demonstrating the army’s readiness to force the Dnieper River.
