The earthquake that hit Turkish territory and neighboring countries on Sunday night left over 1,000 dead and more than 5,000 injured, according to initial reports.
On his Twitter account, the president expressed his condolences for the hard moment that the Turkish people and the whole region are going through, and assured that El Salvador is ready to offer all the necessary help.

My government is ready to provide all necessary assistance to the Government of President Erdogan to be able to overcome this disastrous event,’ Bukele wrote.
According to a statement from the state emergency agency, known as AFAD, the first earthquake was followed by another Magnitude 6.4 tremor, all of which affected several Turkish cities, including Adana, Malatya, Osmaniye, Sanliurfa and Diyarbakir, Anadolu News Agency reported.
