Cuban University maintains international collaboration agreements

Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) More than 60 international collaboration agreements are supported by the José Martí Pérez University of Sancti Spíritus (Uniss) with networks, companies, associations and houses of higher studies in the world, said a source of the institution.

These links have been promoted by the educational entity since last year and are oriented towards food and nutritional security, renewable energy sources and other priority strategic lines for Cuba.

Martín Santana, director of Inter-institutional Relations at Uniss, explained that they maintain ties with the universities of Rondonia, Brazil, Modular Abierta, from El Salvador, and Transilvania Brasov, from Romania, among others, for the exchange of knowledge.

In the relations between the University of Sancti Spíritus and other educational centers in the world, students, workers and professors of the teaching facility participate, who assume joint research projects, he specified.

The exchange of knowledge favors, in some cases, that the university acquires bibliography and technological equipment, essential for the advancement of the teaching-educational process, stressed the director of Inter-institutional Relations of Uniss.

He outlined the projections for 2023, aimed at increasing projects and agreements, and the training of doctors, in addition to supporting the sustainable agricultural system and other programs promoted in the territory, according to the digital version of the Escambray newspaper.

Recently, students from the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, Germany, exchanged knowledge with students from the University of Sancti Spiritus, which will be 40 years old this year.

Uniss plans to strengthen its friendship ties with its German counterpart and surpass the current memorandum of understanding with an international collaboration agreement.

For its part, the delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in the territory reported in recent days that the house of high studies obtained 38 scientific results, with direct impacts on production and services.
