USCG has deported about 2,128 irregular migrants to Cuba in 2023

Havana, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has so far deported a total of 2,128 irregular migrants to Cuba in 2023 from Mexico, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Cuba´s Interior Ministry (MININT) reported Tuesday.

Such a figure was completed on Tuesday as a USCG boat delivered 16 irregular migrants involved in two illegal boatlifts from Cuba.

The deported people were 10 men and six women, mostly from Matanzas and Holguin provinces. Two people were transferred to Technical Investigation Directorate (DTI) for allegedly committing serious crimes.
