The Foreign Ministry said in an article that after becoming the main power on the planet, the US launched wars, encouraged color revolutions and instigated regional disputes, even under pretexts such as the defense of human rights, democracy and freedom.
This material outlined in five chapters the methods and consequences in the world of Washington’s hegemonic practices in political, military, economic, technological and cultural spheres.
China´s diplomacy pointed out that the agendas of successive U.S. governments towards Latin America and the Caribbean included interference, military intervention and subversion of regimes.
Since the 61-year hostility, the blockade against Cuba and the overthrow of (Salvador) Allende in Chile, US policy in this region has been built on the saying that those who fall prosper and those who resist perish’, the text indicated.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also referred to the unilateral sanctions imposed by the White House on almost 40 nations of the world, among them Cuba, Russia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Iran and Venezuela.
It deplored the extraterritorial nature of these sanctions, their effects on the territories being punished and their use to exert economic pressure, regardless of international laws.
But it stressed that the international community responds to the selfish attitude of the US with strong criticism and the promotion of peace, development, cooperation and shared benefits.
Finally, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed China’s opposition to all forms of hegemony and interference, and called on Washington to stop using these practices as tools of domination and harassment.
