Russia is an open country and a unique civilization, Putin states

Moscow, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) Russia is an open country and a distinctive civilization, but without claiming exclusivity and superiority in this regard, President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday in his message to the Federal Assembly (Russian Parliament).

According to the head of State, this is the civilization bequeathed by the forefathers, and it should be preserved for future generations and passed on to them.

He stressed that Russia will develop cooperation with friends, with all those who are ready to work, to adopt the best of them, but relying on its own potential of the creative energy of the society, its own traditions and values, the head of State said.

The president noted that Russia knows how to be a friend, to keep its word, not to let anyone down, and always to help in a difficult situation.

‘Here I would like to speak about the character of our people.

They have always been distinguished by their generosity, generosity of heart, mercy and compassion,’ he added.

We do not hesitate to come to help those who are in difficulty.

Everyone remembers how in fact during the (Covid-19) pandemic we were the first to support some European countries, including Italy, to other countries in the most difficult weeks of the cholera outbreak, he recalled.

‘We will not forget either how we came to help for the earthquakes in Syria, and in Türkiye, Putin added. The citizens’ rights and freedoms are inviolable.

The Russian people are the basis of the country’s sovereignty, the source of power. They are guaranteed by the Constitution, and despite external challenges and threats, we will not back down from them,’ Putin concluded.
