Serbian president predicts changes in the military operation zone

Aleksandar Vucic
Belgrade, Feb 21 (Prensa Latina) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic indicated on Tuesday that the situation in the area of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine would change drastically in the next three days.

From the statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin, intense fighting will be waged in Ukraine, and, in other words, the escalation of the conflict will further complicate the conditions in Serbia, he said.

It is what we expected, and I hope to see two or three significant changes on the battlefield and severe future political actions towards Serbia from the West in one day, the Serbian president said.

Vucic, after he participated in Munich Security Conference that ended in that German city last weekend, expressed doubts that peace could come soon.

He also noted that the conflict in Ukraine shortly would only worsen and expand and eventually become uncontrollable.

In his message to the Federal Assembly this Tuesday, Putin emphasized that Moscow will step by step, carefully, and consistently solve the tasks of the Northern Military District and noted that the West uses Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia and as a training field.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a special military operation in Ukraine to respond to the requested help demanded by the leaders of the Donbass republics.
