It is the fifth day that the Cuban head of State, along with seven other colleagues who were also nominated to Parliament in this central Cuban city, are meeting with local residents and representatives of labor and student centers.
The Villa Clara Raw Material Recovery Company, the first objective of their visit this time, devotes, along with other similar Cuban enterprises, to recover, process and commercialize recyclable wastes from industry, commerce and the population by using specific means and technologies.
It also has more than 55 years’ experience and specialization in this activity, during which it has generated exports, preserved the environment and educated the younger generations in the culture of recycling.
The achievements currently exhibited by the company are possible due to the dedication and sense of professionalism of its workers, who are trained to give an optimum performance in the recovery of raw materials, according to executives.
Residents in the Anton Diaz people’s council are participating in the meetings with the Cuban president and will share their concerns and opinions with him.
Diaz-Canel will also visit other important local companies on Thursday, such as the Enrique Nuñez Rodriguez polygraphic company, which prints newspapers, magazines, books and school notebooks.
