Dominican Republic burns over 800 kilograms of drugs

Santo Domingo, Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) Authorities of the Attorney General's Office (PGR) in the Dominican Republic reportedly incinerated 817.56 kilograms of drugs seized in several operations conducted in the country.

According to a PGR press release, 644.89 kilograms of cocaine and 170.08 kilograms of marijuana were burned.

A total of 2.02 kilograms of crack, 370 grams of hashish, 190 of ecstasy, and three of methamphetamine were also incinerated.

So far, 2,621.2 kilograms of several drugs seized in anti-narcotics operations have been burned.

The incineration ceremony took place at an Army unit located in Pedro Brand municipality, in Santo Domingo province, in the presence of representatives of the bodies responsible for fighting drug trafficking and the health area.
