Habanos S.A. exceeds 545 million dollars in revenues in 2022

Havana, Feb 27 (Prensa Latina) Habanos S.A. brought in 545 million dollars in revenues in 2022, its commercial vice president, Jorge Perez, said at a press conference on Monday, prior to the inauguration of the 23rd edition of the Habano Festival.

The executive reported that the world’s leading company in marketing Premium cigars, both in Cuba and in the rest of the world, grew nine percent in the retail sales network compared to the previous year.

The company currently has 4,769 outlets around the world, “which means these concepts are very relevant these days,” he added.

Regarding total stores, 157 are Casas del Habano that operate under a franchise, 17 are Cohiba Atmosphere, 1,264 are Habanos Specialists, 2,744 are Habanos Point and 587 are Habanos Terrace.

Monday’s conference was the starting point for the world’s most important Havana cigar festival, whose official opening will take place in a few hours.

The event, which has been held in Cuba since 1994, will last for five days and will consist of meetings, tastings, presentations, samples and debates by cigar aficionados and experts from more than 70 countries.

The high quality of Cuban cigars, considered the world’s best Premium (hand-rolled) cigars, and the repeated attention of cigar aficionados and experts to this meeting make the Festival the most relevant cigar marketing event on the planet, as it continues today.
