During the meeting, both parties noted the good level of bilateral relations, and addressed issues of interest to the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the complex international situation, according to a diplomatic source.

The Cuban delegation arrived in the Azerbaijani capital on Monday to take part in the important meeting, at which the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic will be discussed.

The meeting will follow up on the virtual meeting held on May 4, 2020, under the slogan ‘United against Covid-19,’ which was attended by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

Cuba informed that it will insist on the need for the nations of the so-called South to develop joint actions to overcome the effects of the pandemic.
