Cubans residing in Mexico reject US decision against their country

Mexico City, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) The José Martí Association of Cuban Residents in Mexico today rejected the decision of US President Joe Biden to keep Cuba on the spurious list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

In a press release, said entity denounced the inclusion is completely unfounded and cynical, when it is that northern nation’s administrations have promoted and sponsored terrorist acts against the Revolution since 1959.

Currently, he adds, they allow South Florida to incite and promote sabotage of the Cuban economy. Resident Cubans warn that Washington does not have a single element that can justify such inclusion because our government’s policy has always been to condemn any type of terrorist act in any corner of the world. At the same time, they remind President Biden he has not fulfilled his campaign promises in which he would return to the policy of rapprochement and normalization of relations between the two countries that Barack Obama initiated, which included removing Cuba from that immoral list.

Including it there, they denounce, implies intensifying the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade, since among its multiple effects is limiting access to credit, purchase of inputs, food, among other products and services, through which they seek to surrender our country to hunger and calamities.

Finally, they call on the international community and all Cuban emigrants of good will to express their dissatisfaction and work to continue running solidarity campaigns and demanding an end to Washington’s criminal blockade of the Caribbean nation.
