President Macron participates in business forum with Angola

Luanda, Mar 3 (Prensa Latina) Business with Angola stands out on the agenda of French President Emmanuel Macron, who will attend the conclusions of a bilateral business forum, which endorsed various commercial interests and investors.

The French president arrived in Luanda from Gabon on an invitation by President João Lourenço as part of a tour through African countries, which will also include the republics of Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to the official program, the meeting with Angolan businessmen will take place in the Currency Museum. Afterwards, the presidents will hold private talks at the Cidade Alta Presidential Palace.

Before leaving Luanda this Friday, Macron will offer statements to the press in the company of the President of Angola.

Private companies from Angola and France signed an agreement last night for the development of new ventures in agricultural branch and the food industry.

According to the parties, the purpose is to mobilize financing mechanisms for African companies in agriculture and livestock sectors and to identify joint business opportunities in Angola, which will also include the structuring of financing schemes.

The production of yucca, corn, cotton, cereals, peanuts, coffee, fruits and vegetables, as well as cattle raising and the promotion of aquaculture, are among the mentioned areas of interest.
