The official made a statement, broadcasted by ACNC, the state news agency, in which he rejected the two countries’ conduct of joint air exercises in the West Sea area with the use of sophisticated means.

Kim Son Gyong reminded that, earlier, U.S. and South Korean military circles issued a statement in which they said that such exercises have ‘deterrent intentions’ and spoke of the ‘end of the DPRK’s power’ without ruling out the use of nuclear weapons.

The U.S. has made no secret on the fact that it is preparing, together with South Korea, a special operation aimed at surprising important strategic points, he denounced.

The most regrettable thing is that the UN, which has repeatedly expressed deep concern about a conflict on the peninsula, remains silent infront of of this new and obvious violation of the DPRK’s sovereignty, the deputy foreign minister said.
