Serbia calls reports on arms supplies a lie

Belgrade, Mar 6 (Prensa Latina) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday described reports of arms supplies to the Ukrainian regime as a lie.

We have not sold a single piece of weapon, tools or ammunition to either the Russian Federation or Ukraine, the head of State said.

According to the head of State, there are many defense industry plants in the country and Serbia produces and sells ammunition, but only to those nations that are not involved in conflicts.

Vucic explained that only to those countries it is possible to export arms and they cannot transfer them to anyone without Belgrade’s permission.

They say that we export through Türkiye, which is totally impossible, the Serbian leader added. Recently photographs of documents appeared on social networks allegedly claiming the supply of ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Serbian company Krusik.

The falsification was exposed by the company itself, which confirmed that it had no contracts either for the specified types of ammunition (122 mm rockets for MLRS) or for such quantity (3,500 units).

Regarding the export permit, which was allegedly issued to a Turkish intermediary, it contained a code corresponding to the shipment of flour to Montenegro, the Serbian enterprise asserted in a statement. jg/jav/jf/amp.
