China willing to strengthen ties with Nicaragua (+Photos)

Managua, Mar 9 (Prensa Latina) "China maintains its willingness to further strengthen its ties with Nicaragua, promoting pragmatic cooperation and sharing development opportunities", said the vice president of the China Economic Cooperation Center, Yang Song, who leads a delegation visiting Nicaragua.

In a meeting held with Nicaraguan government authorities, Song stated that both countries have made fruitful progress in various fields since the reestablishment of diplomatic relations more than a year ago. He expressed that now the two nations enjoy a fruitful and successful relationship in political, economic, social and cultural fields.

“I hope that with my visit we can deepen our understanding of each other and this is how our cooperation can lift our relations to a new step”, which will contribute in building a community with a shared future for humanity between China and Latin America, he said.

In turn, the Minister of Finance and Public Credit of Nicaragua, Iván Acosta, highlighted the constant willingness of the Chinese representatives, who in just 15 months has carried out an accelerated work on the issue of Free Trade Agreement, financing and support for Nicaragua.

According to Acosta, there is a high willingness on the part of the Chinese authorities to be permanently present, intention that is evident by the visits, exchanges and videoconferences, which opens the way for the development of the Nicaraguan people and the elimination of extreme poverty.

The adviser for promotion of investment, trade and international cooperation of Nicaragua, Laureano Ortega, thanked Yang Song for fostering inter-party ties between the Communist Party of China and the Sandinista National Liberation Front.

Ortega also thanked President Xi Jinping for promoting the ties of brotherhood and fraternity which benefit Nicaragua and bring both peoples closer.

The Center for Economic Cooperation is an institution affiliated with the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
