Mexico allows no military intervention, says President López Obrador

Mexico City, Mar 9 (Prensa Latina) Mexico will not allow any foreign government to meddle into our territory, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador warned the United States on Thursday ahead of threats from Texas Senator Dan Crenshaw.

During his press briefing, López Obrador took advantage of what he was speaking about alleged drug trafficking crime committed by former public security secretary during Felipe Calderón’s presidency, to refer to the statements this legislator made to propose the military intervention.

We are going to start an information campaign from today on to report to over 40 million Mexicans living in the United States about what we are doing to fight off drug trafficking and let them know that Republicans’ initiative, which besides being irresponsible, is an offense to the people and our independence and sovereignty, the president said.
