Russia liberates Dubovo-Vasilevka NW of Artyomovsk

Moscow, Mar 9 (Prensa Latina) The leader of the Wagner PMC, Evgeni Prigozhi, reported that the village of Dubovo-Vasilevka, located northwest of the city of Artyomovsk, in the Donetsk People's Republic, has been liberated by Russian troops.

As Prigozhin published on Thursday on his Telegram channel, after fierce fighting, members of the Wagner group with armored support managed to expel the Ukrainian troops from the town.

The founder of Wagner stressed that at the moment fighting continues on the outskirts of Dubovo-Vasilevka targetting thefully encircling of Artyomovsk.

Artyomovsk is located in the part of the Donetsk People’s Republic controlled by Kiev and is an important logistical hub for the supply of Ukrainian troops in the Donbass region.

The Russian and Ukrainian troops are fighting fiercely for the city.

On February 16th, acting chief of the republic of Donetsk Denis Pushilin asserted that Russian forces controlled the entirety of the main heights near Artyomovsk, as well as the surrounding villages.
