According to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Security Directorate, its troops in Pyongyang city managed to find and remove all the devices without incident.
During the Korean War (1950-1953), the U.S. Army dropped more than 428,000 bombs on Pyongyang and other cities on more than 1,400 occasions and as a result many of these explosives are still buried throughout the country without exploding.
