The state agency noted that fertilizer imports also grew in the previous fiscal year, to 351.6 million dollars, according to the Sputnik news agency.
The report also showed that between January and December 2022, Russia’s exports in the agri-food sector climbed to 41.276 billion dollars, compared to 35.965 billion dollars in the same period in 2021, accounting for an increase of 14.8 percent.
Besides, food imports in 2022 totaled 35.722 billion dollars, 4.9 percent more than in the previous fiscal year.
Russia is one of the world’s largest food and fertilizer producers.
