Lilongwe, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) Days after the most recent cyclone´s overwhelming passage through Malawi, the count of the human damage continues, with a provisional death toll of 200 people and material damages which extent remains unknown.

Meanwhinelthe human damage count continues, hundreds of internally displaced persons found refuge in Blantire (south), the main commercial city of the country, where they live in precarious conditions waiting for official and international aid that barely arrives according to statements of the victims.

The events indicate that the second lashing of the enimagmatic cyclone was even more destructive than the first one because the accompanying heavy rains caused floods and mudslides that swept away dozens of people, while the winds destroyed houses and crops.

So far the number of victims is more than 19 thousand, according to the most updated report of the authorities.

The weather phenomenon, unofficially holder of the record for the longest in duration, was born near the coasts of Australia at the end of February and in its transit through the Indian Ocean increased to a force yet to be calculated and with which it had hit the islands of Reunion, Madagascar, Mozambique, as well as areas of Zimbabwe.

However, that was not the end of its story, as it strengthened on its exit to the Indian Ocean, and once again turned its fury on Mozambique and Malawi.
