Last February, the V Session of Inter-Chancelleries Political Consultations was held in this city, chaired by the Cuban First Deputy Foreign Minister, Gerardo Peñalver, and the Canadian First Deputy Minister of Global Affairs, David Morrison.

At that meeting, representatives of both delegations highlighted the good state of bilateral relations, insisted on the importance of maintaining political exchanges and ratified the will to continue working on the development of trade and cooperation ties.
