The Chinese Foreign Ministry urged the two governments to steer their ties in the right direction, noting that Beijing is closely following current interactions between them and the resulting changes.
It was recalled Tokyo’s past of aggression and colonialism in Asia, called for not forgetting it while moving forward into the future, and said that historical disputes in the area should be handled with care.
The foreign ministry also referred to the China-Japan-South Korea economic and commercial relations, insisting that maintaining stable production and the industrial supply chain is in the interests of all three.
