Cuba reports five new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Thursday reported five new Covid-19 cases and no deaths or serious or critical patients.

According to the daily report, at the end of Wednesday, 58 patients were admitted, 32 were suspected patients and 26 confirmed active patients.

Cuba has accumulated 14,327,268 PCR samples and 1,112,685 positive cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Of the total number of contagions on Wednesday, three were contacts of confirmed cases and two had no specified source of infection.

By age group, four patients are under 20 years of age and one is between 20 and 39 years of age.

To date, Cuba has accumulated 8,530 deaths, accounting for a lethality of 0.77 percent compared to 1.0 percent in the world and 1.54 in the Americas.
