According to the officer in an interview to Krim 24 channel, the territory has been fortified and equipped with advanced weapons and highly qualified military forces in accordance with President Vladimir Putin’s instructions.

Aksyonov added that ‘nothing threatens Crimea in this respect and the inhabitants of the peninsula can sleep in peace’.

The head of the region explained that Ukraine is trying to challenge the defense of the peninsula with the help of drones supplied by the West. ‘Measures have been taken and their implementation will minimize possible damage,’ he assured.

The governor earlier reported that Crimean authorities were fortifying the borders with the involvement of a large number of people and equipment.
