New Cuban ambassador presents letter of credence to Serbian president

Leyde-Ernesto-Rodriguez-500x357
Belgrade, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) Diplomat Leyde Ernesto Rodriguez on Thursday presented his letter of credence as Cuba's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

During the meeting, described as fruitful, the Serbian head of State wished the new ambassador a successful mandate in his country and thanked him for Cuba’s constant support for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Vučić also reiterated his nation’s commitment to friendly relations with Cuba, based on mutual understanding and respect.

Recently, upon being received by Mirjana Jeremić, head of the Diplomatic Protocol at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new Cuban ambassador affirmed that he had the honor of representing a country that defends its sovereignty against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, which hinders the development of the nation and the full enjoyment of human rights by the Cuban people.

Rodriguez also expressed Cuba’s respect for Serbia’s territorial integrity and for the standards of international law, according to Cuban Embassy.
