Brazil’s police carry out 78 court orders for Jan. 8 coup acts

Brasilia, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Brazil´s Federal Police (PF) is presently carrying out 78 court orders in nine states and the Federal District (DF) to arrest individuals deeply involved in the January 8 coup acts.

The G1 portal stated 46 search and arrest warrants, and 32 detentions were issued. Subjects´ names were not disclosed.

According to PF´s information, the court orders are being conducted in Bahia, DF, Espirito Santo, Goias, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Parana, Rondônia, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.

Alexandre de Moraes, STF Minister, rejected the requests for releasing 86 women and 208 men who showed most-serious behaviors.

Most of this group will charge for crimes including serious damages, violent abolition of the rule of law and coup d’état.

Calling for a military intervention and rejecting President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva´s assumption, former President Jair Bolsonaro´s suppporters carried out anti-democratic actions on January 8 in Brasília.
