The Foreign Ministry added that President Lula will visit and stay in Beijing from March 26 to 31.
Even though further details regarding Lula’s working agenda have not been disclosed yet, it´s expected the razilian leader to meet with Prime Minister Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.
During the meeting, Lula da Silva will discuss issues of mutual interest, take new steps to deepen bilateral cooperation and to draw up plans to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
When Lula took office past January, President Xi expressed his willingness to strengthen bilateral alliance and stressed that China and Brazil are developing nations with global influence and important emerging markets.
The last visit of a Brazilian president to China was paid by former President Jair Bolsonaro in October 2019.
