Pardo reminded that Cuba has been able to share what it has and face with creativity new unilateral measures from Washington and who is trying to stifle the nation; from this we Panamanians have benefited with eye operations and of the presence in this same territory of members of the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade, in the forefront against Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 and 2021.

He also pointed out the importance of spreading the reality about Cuba which, despite the economic pressures in the midst of the pandemic, was able to develop its own vaccines, and by this,saving lives in that country and in other nations of the world.

The stay of the Cuban diplomat in Chiriqui on Saturday included visits to the National Agricultural Organization, meetings with producers and participation in the cultural evening called ‘Bonds of Friendship between Peoples’ and the International Fair of David.

As part of the tour, the day before the Cuban Ambassador was received in the neighboring province of Veraguas by the governor Manuel Castillo and the mayor of the city of Santiago de Veraguas, Samid Sandoval, with whom he talked about health, sports and tourism.

Destacan en Panamá entereza de Cuba frente a bloqueo de EEUU.

Ciudad de Panamá, 18 mar (Prensa Latina) En un encuentro del embajador de Cuba en Panamá, Víctor Cairo, con profesionales panameños egresados de centros de estudios en la isla, Manuel Pardo, a nombre de ese colectivo, subrayó que pese al cerco brutal, son evidentes los avances en esferas como la biotecnología, salud, ciencias sociales, educación, deporte y la cultura, entre otras.

Cuba ha sido capaz de compartir lo que tiene y encarar con creatividad nuevas medidas unilaterales de Washington que intentan asfixiar a la nación; de ello los panameños hemos sido beneficiados con operaciones de la vista o la presencia en este mismo territorio de integrantes de la Brigada Médica Internacional Henry Reeve, en el enfrentamiento a la Covid-19, los años 2020 y 2021, recordó.

Pardo también señaló la importancia de difundir la realidad sobre Cuba que, pese a las presiones económicas en medio de la pandemia, supo desarrollar sus propias vacunas que salvaron vidas en ese país y en otras naciones del mundo.

La estadía del diplomático cubano en Chiriquí incluyó este sábado visitas a la Organización Nacional Agropecuaria, encuentros con productores y la participación en la velada cultural denominada ‘Lazos de Amistad entre los Pueblos’ y la Feria Internacional de David. Como parte de la gira, la víspera Cairo fue recibido en la vecina provincia de Veraguas por el gobernador Manuel Castillo y el alcalde de la ciudad de Santiago de Veraguas, Samid Sandoval, con quienes conversó sobre temas de salud, deporte y turismo. lam/ga.
