More than 1.4 million youth apply for military service in DPRK

Pyongyang, Mar 20 (Prensa Latina) The number of young people in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea applying for entry or re-entry into the army, exceeded one million 400 thousand nationwide, local media said today.

More than 950,000 young workers in factories, enterprises and farms and nearly 180,000 in North Phyongan Province have applied to join or rejoin the Korean People’s Army (KPA).

University students and senior high school students also expressed their willingness to join the KPA.

Applications are received daily in different parts of the country.
