President Putin offers to meet China’s growing energy demands

Moscow, Mar 21 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had held a round of “meaningful and frank” talks with China’s President Xi Jinping, during which Putin offered to meet China’s “growing demands” in energy, while Xi called for increased “practical” cooperation between the two countries.

‘Our business are capable of meeting the growing demand in energy for the Chinese economy, both within the framework of current projects and those under negotiation,’ Putin assured, while stressing that hos nation is a strategic supplier of oil, natural gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), coal and electricity to China. According to the Kremlin press service, the total volume of gas supply by 2030 will be about 98 billion cubic meters plus 100 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

‘We´ve just discussed: a good project is the new Siberian Power-2 gas pipeline through Mongolia.
