Russia to respond if UK supplies depleted uranium shell to Ukraine

Moscow, Mar 21 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Moscow would be "respond accordingly" if Britain gives Ukraine military supplies, including armor-piercing ammunition containing depleted uranium.

This move proves the West’s willingness to fight Russia “to the last Ukrainian citizen,” and no longer only in words but also with concrete deeds, Putin added.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that if UK supplies depleted uranium shells to Kyiv, as announced, they would violate international humanitarian law, as they did in Yugoslavia back in 1999.
