According to the spokesman, the Pacific Fleet Marines, supported by artillery, repelled the attacks launched by Ukraine’s 72nd Mechanized Brigade, causing more than 20 casualties, and forcing it to retreat to its original positions.

Gordeyev added that during the fighting, Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems shot down a Leleka-100 UAV loaded with explosives that nationalist units launched against Russian positions.

The spokesman added that an enemy howitzer was detected and destroyed near the town of Orekhovo in the Zaporozhye region by a Msta-S self-propelled artillery crew using the targeting data provided by a counter-artillery system.
