This international meeting takes place at Casa de las Americas, where Mejunje’s play “No importa” will be presented,a play directed by Ramon Silverio and which addresses the issue of migration, according to what the institution published on Twitter, .
In addition to the dismantling of this play, two lectures will be offered focused on analyzing migration as a recurrent element in Cuban dramaturgy.
This international workshop began on March 22 at Casa de las Americas, organized by the Latino Studies Program in the United States.
The lectures, book presentations, plays and exhibitions included in the meeting’s program address the transnational relations of Cuban migration in the Northern Territory and its political, social and cultural implications.
They also emphasized on Cuban presence in the United States in areas such as music, literature and visual arts, as well as the experiences gained from the emigration of several artists.
