Damaged Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft undocked from the ISS

Moscow, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station and will return to Earth unmanned, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos informed from the Flight Control Center.

Roscosmos reminded that last December, the Soyuz MS-22 suffered depressurization of the external circuit of the thermal control system radiator, so its return to Earth, carrying crew members, had to be ruled out.

Specialists expect the descent apparatus to land in the planned area southeast of the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan.

The spacecraft is carrying about 218 kilograms of cargo, including the results of scientific experiments and station equipment for analysis and reuse.

In particular, among the things to be delivered to Earth, are: the spacesuit battery, which was discharged during a spacewalk by cosmonauts Oleg Artemiev and Denis Matveyev, the results of an experiment on mushroom cultivation and the test on creating a probiotic drink.
